The single largest group — — shops online two to three times a month, while a further do so about once a month, meaning roughly half of all French consumers make online purchases on a monthly cadence. Weekly shoppers represent a notable segment as well, with buying one to two times per week and purchasing three or more times a week, together accounting for more than one in five consumers.
At the other end of the spectrum, occasional shoppers remain a smaller but meaningful presence. Some buy every two to three months, and shop online only a few times a year. Just report making no online purchases in the past 12 months, underscoring how deeply e-commerce has penetrated everyday consumer behaviour in France. The data collectively suggest a market dominated by regular, mid-frequency shoppers rather than either daily power-buyers or infrequent users.
